Just adding Malony to everyone's favorite Nikujaga (stewed meat, onion, and potato dish) achieves a new texture combination in your mouth.
Ingredients (2 servings)
20g/0.7oz Malony |
100g/3.5oz thinly sliced beef |
1 large potato |
1/2 onion |
2 teaspoons salad oil |
1 tablespoon Japanese sake |
1.5 tablespoons sugar |
1.5 tablespoons soy sauce |
Directions
1. | Cut the beef and potato into bite-size pieces. Cut the onion into wedges. |
2. | Heat the salad oil in a pot and fry the beef, potato and onion. Then, add just enough water to cover, and simmer the ingredients for 10 minutes. |
3. | Add the sake, sugar and soy sauce and bring to a simmer. Then add Malony and simmer them together for 10 minutes. |
